The Herald Sees The Light Of Day

Today was the day! Had a flatbed truck scheduled for a week to back up to a dock and take her to the ground. Confirmed every day this week that we were good and heard "all set, unless something comes up." Well 1 hour from the scheduled time today and I make my call to hear, "Oh, something came up. Can we do it at 8:00 tonight?". The answer was no and I scrambled to find another company. Worked out good because in less than an hour I found someone who could do it and kept on my original...

Windshield In

Lost a day to other commitments but at least a friend offered to help put in the windshield Friday. Of everything I have done up to now I have to say that this task is now number 1 on the list of least enjoyable. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. The good news is that it is in and that it did not end up in a pile of little pieces along the way. Another friend who is into Mopars said that their glass is held in the same way and gave me some tips that I found helpful. The Herald...

Ready for re assembly

The project Herald is finally coming together. The body work and paint is completed other than touch ups. Bonnet is mounted and wiring completed and the engine runs great. Sprung a leak in a new braided stainless steel clutch line so ordered a hard line to replace it. The dash and gauges were installed last weekend along with beginning the re-assembly process. Major milestones yet to achieve are carpet, seat installation, door & finishing panels, some weatherstriping & seals, new hood...
