Unknown Owner's 1962 MG MGB
|
Ex US (North Carolina) car, in Canada 12 years.
Always over-maintained.
Underbody original and impeccable, interior semi-refreshed to maintain accurate, as original appearance. NOS red rubber matting/sill covers, restored, working Blaupunkt radio. Paint is 40 year old lacquer with some minor imperfections, but shows extremely well.
Parts replaced/refurbished within last 10000 miles include rebuilt D type overdrive, engine bearings, king pins, all rubber, 4 hubs, 5 Dunlop painted wire wheels, shock absorber and anything else needed, with an emphasis on using NOS parts where replacement needed.
Lenses and some chrome items replaced with NOS parts and are correct for 1962.
Red soft top is a very accurate copy of the original. (Excellent)
Original red full tonneau and boot cover are good and include original storage bags.
Factory Jack, hammer and bag.
Original 1962 issue Owner’s Handbook
Red leather sample key fobs with original keys.
Other than Dunlop radial tires, and conversion to a single 12 volt battery it’s a very accurate early B which drives as nicely as it looks.
I’ve owned and restored upwards of 50 Bs and this one is the ultimate. I’ll miss it…
