From the more than you wanted to know department: These wheel covers were made by a company called Del-Met, out of Walton, NY (coincidentally, where my brother grew up and where a few ancestors are buried as well). As used on Heralds and Spitfires, these were actually "sided" in that the little radial scoops drew air in supposedly to cool the wheels and brakes. Most were even ink-stamped LEFT or RIGHT on the inside!
