I have purchased a 1995 geo tracker, and would like to flat tow it. Does anyone know what speed you can safely tow, or if any modifications can be made so I can safely tow at 60-65 mph.

It is recommended to not tow over 55mph. I have pulled mine as fast as 60 with no problems. I would try it for 25 miles, check it out, 50 miles, check it out then 100 miles. If still no problem, you should be OK.

I tow and have been for years at speeds up to 75 mph, not sure why it would matter or not if you tow at the same speeds you would drive it down the road. Mine is a 96 automatic 4x4
