Drained oil from rear end. Worked on removing brake and clutch lines from master cylinders, removed pedal box from car. Worked on remounting worm gear to rotisserie drive. More to do here. Have decided to remount car to compensate for weight of rear and front suspension so I can turn car upside down easier, once all of that is removed I will remount car if necessary to allow for easier rotation.

Remounted worm drive on rotisserie, still not perfect but better than it was. May not be able to improve it much more if sprocket is off line. Remounted rear bumper mount to set on top of rotisserie arm to improve balance, seems to be better. Turned car 90 deg to get at rear end removal, went well. Cut one rear axle strap, need 2 new ones anyway. Cut rear brake hose to rear end. Rear shackles ok, need new bushings.
Preparing for front suspension removal:
1. Remove steering column, remove bolts from u-joint and 3 bolts at firewall
2. Disconnect front brake hoses at the lines. Loosen tie rods from steering.
3. Remove steering rack. 2 shims on one side, other side has shims as well but they are rivetted on.
4. 4 crossmember bolts, swing unit away from car. Woot!
The rotisserie is invaluable! I can put the car in any position and even for removing the steering column and messing about under the dash I can stand comfortably and work at anything. I wish we'd had one when my brother was fixing his car, it would have been a bit easier for him. I haven't even needed to swear yet.
