I played with the timing and the mixture on the B today, and had to take it for a drive to see how she drove with the changes. It was a touch warm today. The thermometer said 114 outside and it was 119 in the garage. Needless to say driving a MG with limited insulation and no AC, it made for a hot drive. The temp gauge stayed at an acceptable level and the car picked up a bunch of power above 3000 RPM, but the idle and the transition off idle got worse. I think I need to back it down a bit, get more mechanical advance, and step up one size on my idle jet.
