Received a used Lucas Sport Coil from a fellow MGs list member today, so of course I had to go downstairs and install it. Made sure to attach the + side of the coil to the dizzy (positive ground, remember) and pulled each plug and increased the gap from 0.025" to 0.035". I could feel the difference immediately! It accelerates faster, throttle response is better, and it even idles smoother. The old coil looked very old, so it was probably ready to retire soon anyway, what better replacement than a shiny gold Lucas part. Keen.
