OK...so I have been slowly working away on stuff - being distracted by all kinds of stuff!
Engine - apparently rotating assembly is now all balanced and ready for pick up - we had sent the clutch pressure plate and disc out for rebuild rather than buy a new "offshore" piece of equipment - price was about the same - $245 Canadian to rebuild it. Pressure plate and disc balanced separately from the crank/lightened flywheel.
Head is done - new guides, new seats, new valves, .020" planed off - so once I get it home I will do a port matching and some clean up before assembling.
Been picking away at getting all the suspension pieces cleaned and painted (POR15 Black), ordered my leaf spring interleaf material from Speedway Motors so then I can assemble the leaf springs. Got all the spring clips blasted and painted.
Rear axle is now pretty much done - brakes assembled, brake lines run, etc., just have to mount the WW hubs and drums...I have decided to stick with the wire wheels, I just like the look and the car isn't going to be pushed real hard so they will be fine!
Started cleaning up the steel dash in prep for paint, did a bunch of filling so just have to sand out a few times and prime. I am just going with a matt black finish - no wrinkle, I want smooth and matt...
I also made a huge error - I ordered all new switches from Moss for the metal dash...oh man - 2 of them did not work right out of the box. JUNK!
So now I am on the hunt for old original metal dash switches...rather clean up old ones than use the new offshore crap (see note above regarding the clutch!) I will send a note to Moss explaining my displeasure with the quality of the switches - very poor quality....made from the finest grade of Chinesium!
So that is where I am at until next time!

Metal dash filling, had some minor warping from when I welded in the fillers so this will clean it up once sanded and primed
