Choke

Choke cable very difficult to pull out. Replaced jet seals with greased o-rings. Adjusted linkages. Cable moves freely when not connected to linkage. Connecting rod adjusted so jets move equally. Note that choke knob and cable move with little resistance (in other words, what I'd expect to be "normal" when the two lever return springs are disconnected.
Canadian Star

This *may* have been the ship which brought my TR to the USA in 1959. The ship in the picture, actually the Canadian Star 2, was launched in 1957, and used in merchant service for Blue Star Lines until transferred in 1979 to Lamport and Holt Line for use as a cargo vessel. She was commissioned for demolition in 1979. The original Blue Star M.V. Canadian Star was torpedoed March 18, 1943 and sunk by the German Submarine U-221, when southeast of Cape Farewell, Greenland in position 53.24N,...
Starter

Removed starter due to grinding noise. Found broken off bearing housing, clean electrics, and clean ring gear. Is the starter correct for this engine? Commission: TS47527L Engine: TS48235E Starter ID: 25541H 4 59 M418G V16 12V Qualcast 256539
